PRP and Growth Factors
PRP is obtained from a blood sample. This is done by processing and separating blood samples into plasma and red blood cells (through a centrifugation process). The platelet-rich plasma contains high concentrations of growth factors, which promote tissue remodeling in aging skin.
One of the common effects of aging is the loss of skin elasticity due to the degradation of collagen. When applied on the skin, PRP releases growth factors that stimulate new collagen and elastin production, resulting in a firmer, tighter, and more youthful appearance.
PRP is responsible for greatly reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, irregular texture, age spots, sun damage, and other skin concerns.
Novel Skin Nutrient System
These are a series of chemicals used in SoME® Skincare serums designed to promote healthy skin. These include:
- Glucose – Glucose is used as a skin-conditioning agent as it has water-binding properties for the skin.
- Sodium citrate – This fully organic compound is used to balance the pH levels in the skin. It is also used for its preservative properties.
- Sodium chloride – Sodium chloride acts as a binder, thickening agent, and preservative.
- Potassium phosphate – This is also used as a pH adjuster.
- Potassium chloride and magnesium chloride – These two ingredients serve as viscosity-increasing/thickening agents.
Honeysuckle Extract
SoME® Skincare serums use lonicera japonica and lonicera caprifolium extracts for their longer shelf life and anti-inflammatory properties. These soothing ingredients are packed with nutrients that promote the health and clarity of your patients’ complexions.
Botanical Antioxidants
These include avocado oil, marshmallow root extract, and D-alpha tocopheryl acetate (Vit E). Antioxidants moisturize the skin, provide antibacterial effects, and reduce inflammation.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a protein found naturally in your body. It keeps skin moisturized and hydrated by binding to water, giving your skin a dewy and glowy effect. When your skin is adequately moisturized, it has a fuller, plumper, and more youthful-looking appearance.
