How Does Autologous Skincare Work?

2 Min Read:

Skincare and self-care have become a part of life that many people invest significantly in. There are many different kinds of regimens that help reduce and prevent signs of aging, but it can be challenging to find products that will produce amazing results.

SoMe™ autologous skincare

Since skincare is a form of pampering and a regimen for skin health (and since women and men are consistently looking for what will improve their skin), why not offer top-of-the-line skincare products to your patients.

What Is Autologous Skincare?

Autologous skincare (such as SoME™ Skincare) is an innovative skincare method that seeks to rejuvenate and enrich the skin using a combination of natural ingredients and the body’s naturally occurring growth factors and biomolecules, combined by a physician. This method of skincare is used to stimulate healing and improve the overall quality of the skin.

Autologous skincare is commonly used to reduce signs of aging in the skin, and it can also be used to:

  • Add firmness to the skin
  • Increase brightness
  • Boost collagen production

Where Did Autologous Skincare Come From?

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a naturally occurring substance that can be found in the blood. PRP contains the growth factors that aid in skin healing and promote the production of collagen.  Autologous skincare works when physicians combine this enriching substance with natural ingredients to create a personalized skincare product or treatment.

Autologous skincare can be provided with a PRP therapy or by creating PRP-infused products, such as SoMe™ Skincare.

Some autologous skincare products use plant stem cells instead of the individual’s cells. This method may be useful but can be less effective since plant cells may not be as biocompatible with the skin.

What Makes Autologous Skincare Different From Other Skincare?

Unlike other skincare products, autologous skincare treatments and products are personalized with the growth factors and biomolecules from your patient’s blood. This makes the skincare much more likely to meet your patient’s individual needs.

Although other skincare products may have quality ingredients, it can be unclear if those ingredients are compatible with your patient’s skin issues. By encouraging the body to heal itself, your patients can expect much more effective and long-lasting results.
